Why can't you do what you really want to, as well? I'd say you're owed it.
I haven't really given much thought to what I want to do. I mean, I know I'm not exactly new to the Order, but I'm accustomed to doing things...differently. Like CCF, YPL, the council challenge - I guess you could say I'm used to being in charge, or at least in charge of myself. CCF was about taking orders, sometimes, as was the council challege, but I was often left to solve things on my own, too. So. I don't know.
Oh, I do think I'd like to take a great whack at organising the library, though.
Right. Well, if Father's trying to get Mother out of England, then he is probably preparing for the very real possibility of his own death, understanding that if he dies, Mother'll go unprotected if she remains in the Protectorate.
Personally, I think he's underestimating Mother, if that is in fact his reasoning.
