Order Only: Private Message to Mr Lupin and Madam Pomfrey
Mr Lupin,
I'm starting your potion for the month and it occurred to me...has anyone--I mean, have you talked to Luna about what might or might not happen to her next week?
Madam Pomfrey, have you?
I don't think it's wise to give her Wolfsbane when we don't know for sure if she'll transform, I mean, I don't think she will, really, but I'm not sure what will happen. So someone ought to look after her during the full moon.

Probably the Secret Room could arrange itself to allow an observer who isn't in danger of being bitten.
I've been talking with her, of course, as time allows. It's -- I think it might be easier, in some ways, if I could simply tell her, 'you'll transform now, this is what it's like the first time, this is what it's like after that,' instead of, 'we really have no earthly idea what this will be like for you.'

Anyway. Yes, I can see how it would be much easier knowing exactly what to expect. But then no one does, the first time, do they? I mean, not everyone survives it. It's got to be enough to know all the risks.

I agree that it's best to watch her through this first moon, standing ready to provide assistance if the transformation takes a life-threatening course. It's possible that we won't be able to help, should it be that dire, but I will certainly stand ready in case.
I will make it a point to speak with her about what she's facing and how she's managing. You know that I won't varnish the matter.
