Katie got a pin, Hermione.

And Draco. And Hydra. And Pansy. And Ron. And I'm supposed to report on all of them. Be his eyes and ears. Make sure he gets nothing but the best.

I know what he does to his council.

I know that when he wants to test me, he doesn't care who gets hurt in the process.

Well, on the one hand that could be an incredible advantage. We don't want Pansy or Ron or Hydra to get selected. Or Katie.

You can report in ways that make them look a little too naff for the circle.

On the other hand, we'll have to be careful because all the others' letters say that there's more than one person who'll be his 'eyes and ears' so you won't be able to throw things too out of joint.

And of course he doesn't care. He never has done. It should hardly be a surprise by now.

He's not just testing you, he's testing everyone. He's testing his current council by bringing in a whole load of new blood and he's testing the newer ones by judging their choices and he's testing all the candidates.

Our job is to make sure that the people who get in deserve to receive his special touch. If you know what I mean. Apart from Draco, who has a reason to win. And Hydra if she wants to help like that.

To let us get some people in a place where they could do some real good.
